Mosmetrostroy brought two sports victories at once on October 9.
The paintball team, consisting of Tunnel-2001 employees, took third place among the labor collectives of affiliated organizations of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions (MFTU). The team included Sergey Zemlin, Evgeny Izotkin, Sergey Lizak, Alexander Lychkovsky, Marat Murtazov, Alexey Semushin, Evgeny Siganov, Georgy Tsaplin. The athletes fought together for the first time, but each of them already had experience in participating in such events.
The competition took place on the territory of the Adventure Park in Khotkovo. At the preliminary stage, 20 teams were divided into 4 subgroups of 5 teams and met each other in a round-robin system. Having successfully performed in the first stage, our team reached the final round, where, having lost one battle and won the second, it took an honorable 3rd place.
Only the teams of the trade union of shipbuilding workers and Dorprofzhel of the Moscow Metro were higher than the Mosmetrostroy team.
– We have a strong team, but we really lacked the support of the fans to win. I would like to see paintball competitions included in the internal Spartakiad of Mosmerostroy. I think people will be interested,” team captain Alexey Semushin (chief surveyor of Tunnel-2001) expressed his wishes.
At the same time, the Moscow Construction Department held a chess tournament in Skolkovo on the territory of the Russian Chess School. Among thirty participants from different organizations, representative of Mosmetrostroy Georgy Ilyinykh took first place.
– Nine years of daily training. From the second to the ninth grade I was seriously interested in the game. Three times a week I visited the Palace of Pioneers, and then the central chess club of the city of Orel, where my mentor was the famous coach Tzadik Elikovich Dorfman, - Georgy Ilyinykh, deputy head of the Mosmetrostroy Sports Club, revealed the secret of his victory.
Due to the epidemiological situation, previously planned competitions in swimming, darts and table tennis are postponed indefinitely.
