On Saturday, January 22, the first competition of this year was held at the ski stadium of the Bitsa club - a ski race among Moscow builders for the Opening Prize of the season.
About a hundred people took part in them, 15 of them were metro construction workers. The competition was held in two age categories: before and after 50 years for men, before and after 45 years for women. The men had to cover a five-kilometer distance, and the women had to cover three kilometers of snowy track.
Among women under 45, Daria Kozlova (Inzhproekt Institute) won; she became the owner of the Nikolai Akimov Memorial Cup, awarded to the best skier of Mosmetrostroy at the first starts of the season.
“For me, this is a natural result,” noted the winner, who was met at the finish line by her whole family – her husband and three children. “The main thing was to make a good push at the start in order to get a serious gap, and only then I realized that they wouldn’t catch me.
Daria Kozlova is still on maternity leave, but she doesn’t lose her fitness: she works out with her husband and children. The mother of many children finished with a result of 10 minutes 58 seconds.
“Some people go to the gym, others run, but I love skiing,” she admits. – But I don’t do them professionally, this is my hobby, which is supported by the whole family.
The builders have two more races ahead - at the end of January and in February, in which the most active metro builders will take part.
SPORTS DECEMBER
We ended the 2021 sports year with a small-caliber rifle shooting tournament, an online chess tournament and a swimming competition.
The DOSAAF Southern Administrative District training and sports center in Moscow has become a traditional gathering place for shooting teams. 19 groups gathered here on December 11. Teams of members of organizations of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions, youth councils, employees of enterprises and organizations of the capital, as well as students were allowed to participate.
Athletes were asked to use a single-shot small-caliber rifle SM-2 for shooting. Participants from a prone position hit special sports targets at a distance of 50 meters. Each was given three minutes to fire three sighting shots and 10 minutes to fire ten scoring shots. According to the results of this competition, the Mosmetrostroy team took fifth place.
A day later, an intellectual battle awaited our athletes on the black and white boards. Egor Shapiro (UMM), Georgy Ilyinykh (KSUM) and Aidar Enikeev (SMU-12) decided to prove themselves in an online chess tournament among teams from construction and housing and communal services enterprises within the framework of the “International Chess Online Business League - 2021”. In total, our players earned 14.5 points, thus taking sixth place in the team competition.
The 2021 sports year ended with the Mosmetrostroy Swimming Championship. It was organized by the company's sports club. On December 25, swimmers performed in the pool of the Bauman MSTU Sports Complex.
“In the team competition, the top three were: Tunnel-2001, Stroymekhservice, SMU-1,” said Georgy Ilyinykh, deputy chairman of the Mosmetrostroy sports club. – In the individual competition, the best results were shown by Nikita Shevchenko (Tunnel-2001) -26.2 seconds, Bogdan Khuraskin (TO-6) -38.7, Alexander Lychkovsky (Tunnel-2001) - 39.1. Lidija Tudorovic (UMM) won the women's competition with a result of 41.5 seconds.
