In December, a corporate tournament of Sberbank PJSC took place in streetball - a type of basketball that differs from the usual in the number of team members - there are 3 of them, and the coverage area - half a field with a single ring. Sports teams from leading city enterprises took part in the tournament. Among them, the Mosmetrostroy team performed at a high level.
Although it was formed only in the summer, the athletes proved themselves to be very skillful players - out of five rounds held, they lost victory in one, beating the hosts of the competition. And this is not surprising: basketball players from SMU-8 and SMU-6 began their training outdoors, when they did not have their own gym. Enthusiasm and love for sports united young people and bore fruit. Shortly before the match, the Territorial Trade Union of Moscow Metro Construction Workers rented premises for them.
“Now we train weekly and are ready to fight for prizes in future competitions,” said SMU-8 shift mechanic, team captain Andrei Koshman.
In addition, in the last month of 2022, the first bullet shooting competition in the sports history of Mosmetrostroy was held from a small-caliber rifle SM-2 with a diopter sight at a distance of 50 meters. This single-shot small-caliber weapon belongs to the class of sports training rifles and is intended for training discharge athletes. The competition took place at the shooting range of the Dynamo shooting club, not far from the Baumanskaya metro station. 27 people from ten subsidiaries of Mosmetrostroy took part in them. First place in the individual competition was taken by Alexey Semushin, Tunnel 2001, with a score of 92 points out of 100 possible.
