Ski racing enthusiasts from Moscow construction organizations took to the track of the Bitsa recreation area on January 20 to compete for the Season Opening Prize.
Among the metro builders, the best result was shown by Viktor Vorobyov, who took 7th place among the veterans. It was he who won the Nikolai Akimov Cup, an award established by the Mosmetrostroy trade union in memory of the outstanding skier and sports organizer.
The competition program consisted of a three-kilometer distance for women and a five-kilometer distance for men. The route with ups and downs passed through the Bitsevsky forest park.
In total, about 150 people took part in the competition. 14 workers from Mosmetrostroy took to the ski track.
And there are new starts ahead, which will take place at the Planernaya training and sports center.
