On July 15-16, 2017, with the support of the Trade Union of Builders of Moscow, an excursion trip “Belarus Festival and Reserve” was organized, timed to coincide with a visit to the festival “Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk-2017”. The event was attended by representatives of large construction organizations, including young specialists from Mosmetrostroy JSC, PIK-Industry JSC and Mosgosstroynadzor.

The first day began with a sightseeing tour of the oldest city in Belarus - Polotsk. The guests were presented with iconic monuments of Polotsk culture - Freedom Square, monuments to the first printer Francis Skorina, teacher Simeon of Polotsk, and the letter “U neskladovae”. The program also included a concert of organ music in St. Sophia Cathedral and a visit to the Spaso-Efrosyne Monastery. Next, the guests went to the unique natural place “Berezensky Biosphere Reserve”, where they could not only learn a lot of educational information about the animals living in this territory, but even see and touch some of them in person in the “Forest Zoo”. The day, full of emotions and impressions, ended with the Slavic Bazaar festival and a walk through Vitebsk at night.

On the second day, even the rain could not affect the good mood of the vacationers. The group went on a walking tour of the iconic places of the city, exploring cultural places and architectural features of Vitebsk.

Particularly memorable was the visit to the house-museum of Marc Chagall, with an interesting story about the life and work of the artist.

Based on the results of the trip, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the organizers of the event for an interesting, rich and carefully designed excursion program, and to all participants for the positive attitude and cohesion of the team.

We hope that in the future, such trips will take place more often. Emotions and impressions, even from such short trips, remain in the memory for a very long time.
