According to tradition, the annual event was held on the territory of the Moskvich sports complex. The ceremony opened with a parade of honored sports veterans, sports teams from districts and trade unions of the city of Moscow, as well as workers from industry-specific city enterprises and organizations.

Athletes and fans were greeted from the stage by representatives of the Moscow government and the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions.

After all the participants lined up at the stadium, they were treated to demonstration performances by sports and creative groups. The bright final chord of the opening ceremony was the lighting of the flame of the Spartakiad of workers and sports teams. The honorable mission was carried out by the famous Soviet athlete, Olympic champion in speed skating, Klara Nestrerova.
On this day, at the Moskvich stadium, everyone could take part in city open competitions in chess, darts, paintball, armwrestling, rock climbing, and floorball.
In parallel, the final competitions of the second stage of the Moscow Workers' Spartakiad took place in volleyball, mini-football, athletics cross-country, family competitions with an obstacle course, kettlebell lifting, tug-of-war, darts and chess.

Metrostroy athletes took prizes in almost all types of the program. Football players, volleyball players, chess players and sports families won silver awards, and weight lifters won bronze. And, of course, the long-awaited first place in the parade of participants, where the metro builders, as always, were at their best.
Based on the results of the competition among 48 organizations, Mosmetrostroy successfully won the 3rd team place!
