The first month of autumn for the Council of Young Professionals of Moscow Metrostroy organizations has become special, long-awaited and very exciting. It is in September that the most grandiose event for the youth of construction organizations of the capital takes place - the Gathering of Young Specialists of the Complex of Urban Development Policy and Construction of Moscow. From September 22 to 24, 2017, the X Stroyslet was held in the Moscow region at the Component holiday home. The main themes of this anniversary event were “Pioneer Camp” and “Birthday of the Gathering”.
The team of young specialists from Mosmetrostroy included 12 people. Participants had to submit their photos to the best photo competition, prepare a business card number, do morning exercises, work in mixed teams, and also show themselves worthy in a dance match. Each stage was assessed by a strict jury, which assigned points to the teams.
For the photo competition, our team submitted a photo from the “Young Metro Builder” camp in Balabanovo. Based on the results of the audience vote, the photograph received third place. For that, thanks to everyone who voted for the team.
One of the most difficult tests for Metro construction workers was the business card number. After a random distribution of genres, the guys got a “humorous production.” It was not an easy task for the team to prepare for the performance. Metro builders are not scriptwriters, and certainly not actors, but the creators of the metro! The guys were very excited; they had to go on stage and convey the whole meaning of the idea in just 3 minutes. But the metro builders coped well with this difficult test, the audience laughed and applauded.
In total, more than 300 people from 27 construction organizations and 5 universities took part in the event. In the final table, the Mosmetrostroy team took 3rd place.
- The most important and interesting part of the program was the work of young people from different organizations in mixed teams. The participants of the meeting practiced quickly solving assigned problems in an unfamiliar team and developed their communication skills. All of them became part of a large, effective team, and most importantly, they found new friends,” said the chairman of the jury, Alexander Sheremetyev (Transinzhstroy JSC).
Also present on the jury were representatives of Mosmetrostroy: Natalya Krekova and Olga Kuleshova. And the capital’s Department of Urban Development Policy was represented by Irina Maryushkina, Deputy Head of the Civil Service and Personnel Department.
- This event was an image event for all of us. Mosmetrostroy is the locomotive of underground construction in Moscow, and the youth of Mosmetrostroy are the future of underground construction in the capital. We have successfully proven that we are a well-coordinated, friendly and professional team, representing our organization at the highest level and competing with other teams,” shared team captain Maria Abramova (UMM CJSC).
