Children's health camp "Young Metro Builder". How many children visited it during the summer and winter holidays, relaxing, participating in various clubs and sports sections? How many lasting friendships have formed within its walls over its more than 70-year history?
But time has passed and many problems have accumulated over the years. The equipment fell into disrepair, time did not spare either the building or the structure. And so in 2011, the children's health camp “Young Metrostroyevets” was closed, the water supply, heating and sewerage were turned off. Buildings and equipment, being without heat, light and water, deteriorated.
But all this time, the metro builders did not lose hope of its restoration. After all, “Young Metro Builder” was truly a cult place. Several generations passed through it - first the grandfather, the father of the current metro builder, vacationed here, then he himself, then his child... Family vacations were also practiced here. The trade union held off-site meetings, New Year's events, sports competitions...
It is gratifying that, understanding the importance of organizing children's recreation, despite all the difficulties, the management of Mosmetrostroy JSC found funds to begin work on restoring the children's camp. For two months, metro builders worked tirelessly, carrying out work to restore one of the nine buildings.
And then on November 18, 2016, a significant event took place - its long-awaited opening, to which Metrostroy leaders came from Moscow - General Director S.A. Zhukov, First Deputy General Director M.Yu. Arbuzov, chief engineer V.I. Lapshin and Deputy General Director who oversaw the work V.G. Lomakin.
According to tradition, the red ribbon was cut in a solemn atmosphere. At the same time, symbolizing the opening of a new stage in the life of the camp, the flag of the Moscow Metro Construction was raised on the flagpole. After inspecting the building and the territory, the delegation laid flowers at the monument to the metro builders who fell during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
In a festive atmosphere, the head of the company S.A. Zhukov and the chairman of the Trade Union Tercom Committee S.G. Steshenko was awarded certificates of honor and Mosmetrostroy badges to particularly distinguished employees.
I would like to hope that the plans to restore the children's health camp, create conditions for meaningful and interesting leisure time for young metro workers on their own base will come to life and the time spent in the new, modern health resort will again become as interesting, fun and unforgettable for the children as before.
