Amateurs skiing and active recreation among metro workers took part in the spirit of large-scale sports events.
The Khimki open spaces near Moscow and the territory of the Olympic training and sports center of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions “Planernaya” became a place for mass skiing this winter.
On February 4, the XXI competition “Moscow Ski Track - 2018” was held, which are traditionally organized by the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions. More than 18 thousand people of different ages and levels of sports training from organizations and enterprises in Moscow and the region, as well as members of their families, came to the start of the race.
On February 10, the XXXVI Moscow stage of “Ski Tracks of Russia 2018” started - the most popular ski race in our country, which is supported by the Government and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation. More than 15 thousand people took part in this race.
The Territorial Committee of the Mosmetrostroy Workers' Trade Union gathered and presented a large team of skiers from organizations of the Moscow Metrostroy to these competitions. A bus, tea and light meals were organized.
Our team outnumbered many in terms of numbers and cohesion. Among the participants were those who were involved in skiing in their youth and reached the ranks, those who live an active life and are friendly with sports, children and veteran metro builders.
At a fairly long distance of 10 km there were good temporary results and just the joy of having completed this distance.
Since such competitions are, first of all, a celebration of sports, where the main thing is not victory, but active mass participation and friendly support for a healthy image life, and the main prize is a good mood and a charge of vigor, then our team was undoubtedly among the leaders.
