On March 7, on the eve of International Women's Day, the Terkom of the Mosmetrostroy workers' trade union prepared a festive congratulatory program for the women of the Moscow Metrostroy.

From early morning, gentle and romantic melodies sounded in the lobby. Everyone who opened the door and entered the building found themselves in a festive atmosphere and received a boost of spring mood, which was created by humorous Soviet-era posters hanging on the walls dedicated to March 8th and compositions of flowers and balloons. Quite a few photos were taken against their background.

In the lobby, the “beautiful half” of Mosmetrostroy was met by a magician-illusionist. Addressing each woman, he made magical passes with his hands and took out small souvenirs from the air, from behind his back or from pockets and bags, which he handed to the women along with congratulations.

In the afternoon, women were treated to a light buffet with tea, coffee and sweets. At this time, a video series of photographs of Mosmetrostroy employees, women’s portraits and pictures of blossoming spring nature was broadcast on the big screen accompanied by light, lyrical music.

The next pleasant surprise was a solemn congratulation and concert. Before entering the assembly hall, the men presented their female colleagues with bouquets of tulips and gift certificates.

The meeting dedicated to International Women's Day was opened by the Chairman of the Terkom of the Trade Union of Mosmetrostroy Workers, Sergey Grigorievich Steshenko. The congratulations were continued by the heads of Mosmetrostroy JSC Vladimir Ivanovich Lapshin, Mikhail Yurievich Belenkiy and Oleg Nikolaevich Melnikov. All speeches included wishes for women to have a spring mood, the delicate smell of flowers and a good mood on such a beautiful sunny day.

Next, all those present were treated to a concert program prepared by artists invited by the Trade Union Tercom Committee. A medley of famous songs was performed on the saxophone, recognizable and fiery modern music performed by the violin, many poems, miniatures, and a quiz.
