17 In March, a military-patriotic mini-football tournament “The Battle of Stalingrad” took place, which was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad. Veteran of the Great Patriotic War Artyom Mendelevich Zolotnitsky was invited as a guest of honor. At 83 years old, he lives a socially active life and is interested in sports.
The organizers of the SMS-Sport event held the tournament with the support of the executive committee of the Moscow city regional branch of the United Russia Party, the Moscow Department of Media and Advertising and the All-Russian public organization of veterans “Russian Union of Veterans”.
The tournament was attended by 12 teams, including teams from such large construction organizations as DSK Avtoban, Mosmetroholding, Engineering, Soyuzdorproekt, LSR Group, NLMK Vtorchermet, Technoline, PC Hephaestus, and others.
The fight for championship in the tournament was spectacular and fierce. As a result, the Mosmetrostroy team won bronze. The famous Soviet and Russian football player Valery Valentinovich Shmarov congratulated our athletes on their victory at the award ceremony.
