1 May, about 700 members of the Moscow Metro Construction Workers' Trade Union took part in a festive procession along Red Square as part of the Moscow construction complex.
In orderly rows with banners, flags and symbols of Mosmetrostroy, carrying tricolor balloons and flags, our column marched along Bolshaya Ordynka through the Moskvoretsky Bridge and Vasilievsky Spusk, ending the demonstration on Red Square.
Live communication with colleagues, jokes, laughter, memories and stories about May Day in the 60s, 70s and 80s, popular Soviet songs to the accompaniment of an accordion player and sweet pies with cherries and apples made this day a holiday. Due to the general good mood, the sky brightened and the rainy clouds were replaced by bright sun and beautiful weather.
War and labor veterans, honored workers and representatives of the Council of Young Specialists of the Moscow Metro Construction had the opportunity to watch the parade from the stands and greet the columns of workers.
According to the organizers, on May 1, about 130 thousand people took part in the action on Red Square.
This year, the traditional May Day demonstration of the capital's trade unions, dedicated to the State Holiday of Spring and Labor, was held under the slogan “Unity, solidarity, labor - guarantees of successful development!”
