Traditionally, for decades, on the eve of the Great Victory Day, the Tercom of Trade Unions of the Moscow Metro Construction has been holding and supporting actions of memory and paying tribute to the heroes of labor and the Great Patriotic War.

On May 7, representatives of the Council of Veterans, the Territorial Committee of the Trade Union and the Council of Young Specialists of the Moscow Metro Construction visited the Novodevichy Cemetery and paid tribute to the outstanding metro builders - Heroes of the Soviet Union and Heroes of the Socialist Labor.

Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Mosmetrostroy Prigoda Boris Filippovich led everyone gathered from memorial to memorial with a detailed story about each of those who are included in the historical chronicle of metro builders.

Flowers were laid at the burial places of Metrostroy leaders Tatyana Viktorovna Fedorova, Vasily Dementievich Polezhaev, Mikhail Afanasyevich Samodurov, Egor Trofimovich Abakumov, Konstantin Yakovlevich Samsonov.

We also stopped at the monument to Bella Akhmadulina, who worked as a correspondent for the newspaper “Metrostroyevets”, at the monument to Mikhail Ulyanov, who brilliantly played the role of metro builder Kolya Kaytanov in the film “Volunteers”, and visited the memorials of other famous Soviet cultural and scientific figures associated with metro construction.
