8 May, on the eve of the 73rd anniversary of the Victory, representatives of the Territorial Committee of the Moscow Metro Construction Trade Union, as part of the delegation of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, in the center of the capital, near the Kremlin walls, honored the memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

To the sounds of a military band, following the Honor Guard Company, over two hundred people - representatives of the trade union movement of Russia took part in the solemn ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the eternal flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin wall.

Then the delegation went to Manezhnaya Square and ended the procession by laying flowers at the monument to Marshal G.K. Zhukov.

Ribbons of St. George, hundreds of bright red carnations on granite obelisks, a blue peaceful sky and memorable lines from the poem by O. Berggolts:
No one is forgotten and nothing is forgotten,
For all generations and all times.
With the gray hairs of those who lived and the blood of those killed,
This terrible war has been paid for.
There is no greater joy than the joy of Victory,
But the bitterness of loss resonates within us.
And let the venerable grandfathers not be ashamed,
Uncontrollable tears that flow from the eyes...
…
No one is forgotten and nothing is forgotten.
Although the joy of Victory is painfully sad.
And we worship the ashes of the killed,
When spring comes to us in Russia.
