This year was no exception either. On May 7, activists of the Council of Young Professionals: Abramova Maria, Antonova Elena, Kuleshova Olga and Menshina Alena honored the memory of the builders of the Moscow metro, who received the titles of Heroes of Socialist Labor, Heroes of the Soviet Union, and were also awarded other significant state awards.

The girls laid flowers and listened with great interest to the stories of veterans about their great colleagues and the events that happened to them while working in organizations of the Moscow Metrostroy. The trip was headed by the Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Mosmetrostroy, Boris Filippovich Prigoda. The young specialists were greatly impressed and thanked the organizers of the meeting for the opportunity to touch the history of the Moscow Metrostroy, to honor the memory of the people who made a huge, invaluable contribution to the construction of the Moscow Metro.

The youth did not remain indifferent on May 9, the memorable day when our Motherland celebrated the 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War over the Nazi invaders. In the “Immortal Regiment” action, which has become a traditional part of the Victory Day celebrations, and in which, according to various estimates, more than 10 million people across the country took part, young specialists from Moscow Metrostroy organizations also marched shoulder to shoulder.

The children carried portraits of metro-builder heroes in their hands.

We understand well that preserving the historical continuity of generations, nurturing patriotism, caring attitude towards the past and present is the responsibility of the younger generation, that is, our responsibility.

Young specialists from Mosmetrostroy organizations congratulate everyone on Great Victory Day, thank the veterans for the courage and heroism shown during the war, and, of course, for the peaceful sky above their heads!
Alena Menshina, first deputy chairman of the Council of Young Professionals of Moscow Metrostroy organizations
