19 May, on the territory of the Iskra sports complex, a sports festival was held - the Open Spring Spartakiad of Moscow Workers, traditionally organized by the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions. About 20 teams took part in the event.
The competition program included: a march parade, family starts, tug-of-war competitions, weight lifting, darts, track and field running, mini-football and volleyball.
For the Mosmetrostroy team, all competition results were also included in the standings of the Moscow Builders Spartakiad.
Team games began early in the morning on the football fields and volleyball courts.
The volleyball team took third place among construction organizations in terms of games and points.
The football team was the leader among all teams and received the Winner's Cup for 1st place.
Despite the pouring rain, the Metro construction workers with flags, slogans, emblems and balloons walked through the parade with dignity, which was judged by the number of participants, the best sports form and the design of the column.
Then families competed on the stadium's treadmills. Father, mother and child took turns participating in the track and field relay race in 3 stages with various sports objects. Our families took fourth place in this type of competition. All children received sweet gifts for their participation.
The track and field race was held at distances of 400 meters for women and 800 meters for men. The composition of the teams was unlimited. The 10 best results, regardless of gender, were taken into account. Ulyana Sedlova showed the best time among women and received 1st place and the Winner's Cup in the individual competition. Based on the sum of overall results, the Mosmetrostroy team took third place in these competitions.
At the same time, at different sites of the stadium, teams competed in tug of war, weight lifting, and darts. We have fourth places in all these types of competitions.
