On Thursday, August 30, a chess tournament for the Mosmetrostroy Championship was held in the canteen of the management of Mosmetrostroy JSC as part of the Year-Round Spartakiad 2018. Both experienced chess players and very young participants took part in this competition. At the end of the tournament, the winners were announced and awarded with memorable gifts.
— Friendly battles on the chessboards unfolded in earnest, each participant tried to ensure that the victory went to him. Many were amazed by the game of experienced chess players, when the game took place in just a few minutes and the pieces on the board disappeared with extraordinary speed and no more than a few seconds were spent on each move, this is truly something incredible.
In the overall team competition, 1st place was taken by representatives of Mosmetrostroy Mechanization Management CJSC, 2nd place by SMU-25 Metrostroy LLC, 3rd place by TO-6 Metrostroy LLC.
In the individual competition, first and second place were shared by Shapiro E.E. (JSC "UMM") and Skvortsov A.S. (SMU-4 Mestrostroy LLC) scoring 10 points. Third place was taken by veteran of TO-6 Metrostroy LLC Zhigarev A.V. scoring a total of 9 points based on the results of all games.
