The first guests of the updated “Young Metro Builder” were more than 70 metro builders and members of their families. The race participants did not have to rack their brains about planning the route. Those who wished could get there by personal transport, the rest could take the train to Balabanovo station at the recommended time, from where a free bus transfer to the camp was organized.
At the entrance, guests were greeted by Deputy General Director for General Issues and Interaction with Government Authorities Vasily Lomakin, Chairman of the Terkom of the Mosmetrostroy Workers' Trade Union Sergei Steshenko and Camp Director Leonid Podvoisky.
After arriving at the camp and having dinner, the metro builders were placed in rooms in the hotel building. Four meals a day, as well as sports and entertainment events, were organized especially for them.
On Saturday, metro construction workers had the opportunity to visit the Sparrows Bird Park in the Kaluga Region. While some of the vacationers went on an excursion paid for by the union, the rest could go mushroom hunting right on the camp grounds or go fishing in the nearby pond.
After lunch, the second group of visitors went to the park. Sports competitions awaited guests returning from the excursion.
– To organize leisure time, we purchased basketballs and volleyballs, other necessary equipment and sports games. Everyone could play tennis, children’s hockey and badminton,” says Steshenko. – Chairman of the Mosmetrostroy Sports Club Alexey Alexandrov installed an inflatable trampoline, thereby creating a festive mood for the little ones.
Team games in football, volleyball and competitions between adults and children were organized on the sports grounds. The most active participants and winning teams were awarded medals and certificates.
On Sunday, after a tour of the camp and lunch, the guests began to leave.
– I really liked everything. And everyone liked it,” shared Olga Zarubina, master of the Mosmetrostroy Department of Construction, who was involved in finishing work during the renovation of the camp. - I worked there - I walked through the buildings that I made. The food was excellent. Someone even wrote in the guest book: “Goodbye, figure.” The administration and staff were very polite. The children didn't want to leave at all. My grandchildren said: “Bah, we’ll live here.” Now I will be happy to take them to the camp for competitions.
Engineer from UMM Yegor Shapiro also praised the cooks of “Young Metro Builder”. Another company employee drew attention to the cleanliness and convenience of the dormitory building in which the guests were accommodated.
– The camp area is a good sanitary zone, there is clean air and very quiet. And there is no Internet, so I had to take a full rest. While some things are unfinished in the camp, it will be interesting to see what it will lead to. During our visit, the military-historical reconstruction festival “Voinovo Pole” was taking place nearby, and we went there ourselves. I think that in the camp, in addition to classic games, you can organize a game of small towns and fights with wooden swords and shields. It's safe and very interesting.
