The traditional laying of flowers at memorial sites for the four-time awarded Moscow Metro Construction took place. A significant event for the company took place on October 18, 2018. Activists from the Council of Young Professionals joined the trip.

According to tradition, management, veterans and youth visited the first Sokolnichesky mine of the Moscow Metro line, construction of which began in November 1931. Metrostroy workers laid flowers at the memorial plaque, which reads: “The first Metrostroy mine was founded here in 1931. Here began the struggle for the construction of the best Moscow metro in the world. October, 1971."

Then the action participants moved to the memorial plaque to the first metro builder, deputy head of the Moscow Metro Construction, Hero of Socialist Labor, Honored Builder of the RSFSR - Tatyana Viktorovna Fedorova. This extraordinary woman made an invaluable contribution to the construction of the capital's subway and to the development of the city.

We ended the cultural and historical meeting with a visit to burial sites at the Vvedensky cemetery. Here they honored the memory of those who are imprinted in large letters in the granite of the historical chronicle of metro construction: P.P. Rotorta, V.A. Bessolova, N.A. Aleshina, S.I. Seslavinsky and V.A. Dronova.

Such meetings serve not only to maintain traditions, but also to patriotic and cultural education of metro construction youth.

The Council of Young Professionals of Moscow Metro Construction Organizations thanks the company management and the Veterans Council for the invitation.
