B The Znamensky Brothers Olympic Center hosted annual competitions for families representing city trade unions. Family starts took place on March 23. The sports festival was organized by the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions. This year, more than 400 families representing 15 Moscow organizations decided to join active recreation and compete for the title of the strongest. 22 families participated from the Terkom of the Mosmetrostroy trade union.
The competition took place in two rounds. In the first, teams of three competed (father, mother, child), in the second - of two (one of the parents together with their child). There are five competition sections located on the territory of the arena. There was also an animation zone with inflatable swings and a castle in the air.
Families tested themselves for speed, endurance and cohesion. Participants covered the track on scooters, soft skis, ran in a squirrel wheel, and completed combined orienteering and obstacle course relay races.
– My family and I are participating for the second time. The most interesting and difficult stage was the obstacle course. This year, the competition is better organized due to the fact that families are divided according to the number of participants,” said Olga Gomzova, economist of the financial department of SMU-8.
Also, the competition participants with the attributes of their trade unions paraded to the march of a brass band. The column was led by sports veterans - Olympic champions. The winners were awarded MFP cups and medals, as well as special memorable prizes.
