On April 27, 2019, activists of the Council of Young Professionals of Mosmetrostroy organizations, as part of the team of the Council of Young Professionals of the complex of urban planning policy and construction of the city of Moscow, visited the Kolomna city boarding house for the elderly “Veteran”. The event was attended by 14 people from eight construction organizations.
The departure took place on the eve of Easter and on the eve of Victory Day, which set the theme of the festive concert organized by young specialists. The participants performed everyone’s favorite songs of the war years for the veterans, read famous poems, as well as works of their own composition. Thanks to good weather, the program took place on an open-air stage, which gave the event an even brighter and more positive motive.
After the official part of the program, young people had the opportunity to talk more closely with veterans and learn about their fate throughout their life’s journey. From the stories it became known that among the residents of the boarding school there are veterans who were awarded the honorary titles of Home Front Worker and Veteran of Labor for their services to the Motherland and their contribution to the Victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War.
