Advice young specialists of the company were once again prepared and held the “Start of Young Metro Builders”. The children's sports festival has been taking place for the fourth year and is rightfully considered one of the main events of the year for the families of metro construction workers. Competitions for children and adults took place on April 20 at the Sports Palace of the State Budgetary Institution "SSHOR "Moskvich"" Moskomsport.
This year, the organizers dedicated the traditional holiday to the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements, created by the great Russian scientist Dmitri Mendeleev. Thirty families of metro construction workers gathered for sports competitions with an original theme. Participants included 75 children aged 5 to 12 years.
The kids, divided into three teams (“Oxygen”, “Hydrogen” and “Carbon”), completed the “Adventures of Chemical Elements” relay race. The children tested their agility, courage and speed in the competitions “Molecular Chain”, “Nuclear Reaction”, “Riding on the Nucleus”, “Sharp Photons”, “Periodical Table”.
Together with adults, the “Friendly Atoms” relay race took place. Three teams competed: “Red Atoms”, “Green Atoms” and “Yellow Atoms”. The parents set an example of a real sports family in the competitions “Molar Mass”, “Khimichim”, “Running Atoms” and “Evacuation in a Tunnel”.
The special guest of the holiday was the fictional great-great-great-grandson of the discoverer of the periodic law of chemical elements - Professor Mendeleev. He gave witty chemistry problems to little athletes and demonstrated his ability to handle a soccer ball.
The holiday was hosted by Natalia Ermakova and Anton Sidorenkov. At the end, the creative duo “Hooligans” gave a surprise by showing a chemical show. All participants were presented with memorable diplomas and gifts.
SUMMED UP THE SPORTS RESULTS OF APRIL
During the starts, the winners of the sports festival “The whole family for health”, held in March, were also awarded. Mosmetrostroy showed a decent result among the Stroykomplex teams - second place. The prize-winning places were taken by the Fomkin family (SMS), Petrov family (SMU-9), Smirnov family (TSK) and Sukhorukov family (SMU-12).
On the same day, the Dynamo club hosted competitions among the teams of the Moscow Construction Complex in darts and bullet shooting. Our team's shooters won silver. Andrey Selyansky (Tunnel-2001), Andrey Baidala (SMU-24), Igor Barilo (Tunnel-2001), Dmitry Stryapunin (UMM) and team captain Andrey Tovkach (KSUM) distinguished themselves with accuracy. Mosmetrostroy took eighth place following the results of the darts competition. Elena Inyutina from SMU-1 showed good results.
At the beginning of April, metro builders took part in the Moscow Team Table Tennis Championship among builders. 12 teams competed, our company was represented by Viktor Sokolov from SMS, Vladimir Alfasov from SMU-12 and Anastasia Kirakosyan from SMU-9. According to the results, the metro builders took fourth place.
