It was not by chance that the Trade Union Tercom Committee chose a two-hour tour of one of the most beautiful places in Moscow to introduce the city project “Walking around Moscow”. This is a diverse excursion; it will be of interest to those who are interested in history, architecture, and those who appreciate the beauty of nature.

Experienced guide Dmitry Rybalov knows everything about the area! He gives a detailed answer to any, even the most unexpected question, although the excursion itself is conducted easily, with humor, without overloading with information.

The weather did not disappoint. Cloudless and light frost. At a good pace (the frost is not great, but it does not require standing), the group got acquainted with the merchant estates of Spartakovskaya Street - “Rublevki of the 19th century” (as the excursionists noted). We went down past the surviving Old Believers churches to the Yauza and plunged into the era of Peter I. The cascade of ponds created in the German settlement at his behest, the first “European palace” of the Russian tsars (1698), centuries-old trees, and sweeping alleys impress with their grandeur.

Each era built its own palaces here: Peter's Palace, Annenhof, Catherine Palace... the palace of the main building of modern Baumanka (MSTU). And in this wonderful mixture of styles - everything is Lefortovo. All Moscow.
