The annual competition of professional skills among young specialists from organizations in the capital’s construction industry was held from October 19 to November 6, 2020. The youth of Mosmetrostroy took prizes.
The competition was held remotely due to coronavirus restrictions. They competed in the category “The best team of young specialists in the field of underground construction.” Six teams submitted applications, three of which were submitted by Mosmetrostroy: JSC Mosmetrostroy, LLC Tunnel Squad No. 6 of Metrostroy and CJSC USR Mosmetrostroy.
The teams consisted of four specialists: a surveyor, an estimator, a labor protection specialist and a work foreman. The professionalism of the participants was assessed using an electronic knowledge assessment system using the Becker method. The teams had to not only answer the proposed questions, but also come up with their own, unique ones. An important condition was the use of the latest knowledge in the field of underground construction technology. Participants could also receive additional bonus points by finding inaccuracies in their opponents' questions.
During a tense struggle, the team of Mosmetrostroy JSC took an honorable third place. The team included: Ayuka Matsakov - mine surveyor at SMU-6 Metrostroy LLC, Galina Matsyuta - leading engineer of the production and economic department of Mosmetrostroy JSC, Dmitry Raspopov - deputy head of the labor protection and environmental safety department at Mosmetrostroy JSC and Maxim Grishanov - mining foreman at SMU-12 Mosmetrostroy LLC.
In addition to the team competition, our participants became first in the following categories: Galina Matsyuta - the best estimator, Dmitry Raspopov - the best occupational safety specialist in the field of underground construction in 2020.
Unfortunately, due to restrictions due to the spread of coronavirus infection in the capital, the awards ceremony for the winners, traditionally held in the meeting room of the city’s Department of Urban Development Policy, did not take place. On December 17, an online conference was held with participants, at which the head of the Civil Service and Personnel Department of the Department of Urban Development Policy of the capital, Valery Potsyapun, and the Chairman of the SMS KSPS Olga Kuleshova congratulated the winners and thanked the young specialists for participating in the competition.
The awards found their winners: the donated diplomas were solemnly presented to the best specialists at one of the morning meetings by the management of Mosmetrostroy JSC.
A competition of professional skills is not only a competition between teams of organizations, but primarily an increase in the prestige of the construction professions and an opportunity to improve qualifications and personal skills for each participant.
