After a long break, our players took part in two tournaments. The first one took place on February 6 and was a warm-up exercise. The second tournament, held on February 13 as part of the winter mini-football championship among city builders, brought us first place. All matches were played on football field No. 1 (heated) of the Spartak Academy named after Cherenkov.
Of the 12 declared teams, ten arrived on the appointed day. They were divided into subgroups. The games were played on a round-robin basis. Taking into account the winners of last year's championship, the subgroups were headed by: the team of JSC Mosmetrostroy, GKU UDMS, LLC MIP-Stroy No. 1, LLC First DSK. The two best teams from each subgroup advanced to the next stage, where they continued to compete in the cup system.
After the final games, the winners of the championship were determined: Mosmetrostroy JSC - 1st place, Mosinzhproekt JSC - 2nd place and First DSK LLC - 3rd place. The winners received their well-deserved certificates and medals, and the metro construction team also received a winner's cup.
“The weather that day was comfortable, and all the circumstances were in our favor,” the coach of our football team, Alexey Alexandrov, shared his impressions of the victory. “In addition, in recent years we have acquired a good roster of players. The guys train regularly. The main core is 15 people from Tunnel-2001, TO-6, SMU-1, SMU-8 and KSUM.
