In January and February, Moscow hosted various competitions for winter sports enthusiasts. The most popular event was the Russian Ski Track, which took place on February 13.

02/13/2021. Our skiers after the race

Traditionally, this festival hosts several races at different distances: 500 meters for children born in 2015 and younger; children born in 2009-2014 had to run two kilometers. Boys and girls born in 2003-2008 could cover five kilometers in the snow, and men and women were invited to take the snow “ten.”

“22 people from Mosmetrostroy took part in the Ski Track of Russia, most of whom competed at the ski base in Molzhaninovo,” said Georgy Ilyinykh, deputy chairman of the Mosmetrostroy sports club. – Two participants are children. Of the adults, the best results were shown by Timur Kashin (Tunnel-2001), Andrey Tovkach (KSUM), Mosmetrostroy veterans Zoya Vasilyeva and Alexey Polivach, Vitaly Averchin and Anatoly Meshcheryakov (USR).

Severe frosts did not become an obstacle for either adults or very young participants. Thus, four-year-old Mark Kashin became third among his peers in his race. His dad, Timur Kashin (Tunnel 2001), a week earlier ran better than all the metro builders at a competition called “Trade Union Winter.”

The race brought together almost a thousand participants at the Olympic training and sports center of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions “Planernaya”. Metro workers entered the top six in various types of competitions: weight lifting, medicine ball throwing, mini-football, family relay race and skiing.

By the way, after the performances, our athletes comfortably settled down in a comfortable, warm bus, rented by the Trade Union Tercom specifically for these competitions.
