Base On February 21, the Olympic training and sports center "Planernaya" became the venue for the city industry sports festival "Builders' Ski Track - 2021", organized by the Trade Union of Construction and Construction Materials Industry Workers.
The holiday brought together about two thousand people from 40 construction organizations and associations of the capital. Winter competitions were held for the 32nd time, and included: marching parade and cross-country skiing as compulsory events, mini-football and optional family events.
“More than 50 Mosmetrostroy participants took part in the competition, and the prize-winning places in the family relay race and the personal competition for women went to our employees,” noted Georgy Ilyinykh, deputy chairman of the Mosmetrostroy sports club. – Our team took fifth place in the overall standings.
The main ski competitions were the 3-kilometer race for women and the 5-kilometer race for men. In addition, men competed at a distance of 10 kilometers. Daria Kozlova (Inzhproekt Institute) was recognized as the winner among competitors in the category under 45 years old.
The most fun and memorable competition of the ski program of the holiday was the family relay race, during which, at the first stage, the 500-meter distance was run by children under the age of 13. At the second stage, mothers went to the start, covering a distance of one kilometer, and at the third stage, fathers. They had a trip three times longer ahead of them.
“The relay test was quite difficult for the children. Our son Roman ran the first stage. Then the adults joined the fight,” says Yulia Lunochkina (SMU-8), whose family became the winner of the relay. – The race was fast and fun. Good weather added positivity. We were also in a hurry to cover the distance. After all, our youngest child was waiting for us in the stroller, whom we didn’t want to leave for long.
85 families took part in the relay race, with 120 children taking to the ski track. All children, regardless of their results, were awarded medals, sweet gifts and souvenirs.
