Children’s The “Start of Young Metro Builders” holiday, dedicated to the upcoming anniversary of the company, was held on April 3 at the Moskvich sports center.
The team spirit united children from families working in various organizations of the Moscow Metro Construction. Labor shock workers turned out to be active not only on construction sites, but also on sports grounds.
– This is a big holiday that unites different generations. Our grandparents devoted many years to Mosmetrostroy, strengthening the team spirit, continuity and connection between generations,” noted Oleg Melnikov, Deputy General Director of the company, during the opening ceremony of the holiday.
We also remembered that a year ago these families had a hard time. In the spring of 2020, many employees were building an infectious diseases hospital in Voronovsky. The receding pandemic made it possible to hold the holiday this spring with a record number of participants. Each team consisted of two dozen boys and girls. The guys dressed in red (miners), blue (electricians) and orange (welders) T-shirts and caps with the company logo.
The first test was the relay race. Run faster than your opponents, have time to put on a vest and helmet, go around the cones, roll the ball with a brush to the mark and return it to the next player, crawl through the tunnel and, of course, pass the turn to defend the honor of the team with your palm to the next member.
The stands vigorously supported the kids and teenagers, worried about those who suddenly turned out to be a little slower, and applauded those who went to the start line for the first time.
“Come on, come on, come on!!” - came from the upper tier of the sports center. Passions ran high from task to task. Parents helped their children overcome obstacles, leading them by the hand. The older children tried to demonstrate all their skills, bringing the team the coveted victory at each stage of the fun competition.
“My daughter and son are participating in the relay race for the first time,” said Natalya Lavrova, Mosmetrostroy management dispatcher. Her daughter, three-year-old Ulyana, was worried at first, and then, overcoming her fears, tried to complete all the tasks on an equal basis with the older children. Her 11-year-old brother Roman supported the baby in every possible way and helped him cope.
Five-year-old Ivan Zheleznyakov was also worried about the team’s results. Speaking for the blue team, he admitted that he only counted on victory. It had to be brought not only by children, but also by parents. Moms and dads took to the starts in the second part of the holiday, demonstrating all their sports skills. The main thing is to stick together and act together.
“The competitions are difficult, but Mosmetrostroy has only friendly teams,” the hosts of the festival emphasized.
- Such excitement! And besides, our family has a lot of experience in participating in all sporting events of Mosmetrostroy,” said the head of the personnel department of SMU-8, Yulia Lunochkina. – The eldest son Roman has been participating in relay races and all competitions since childhood. Among the latter is cross-country skiing.
All participants were awarded diplomas and gifts. The award ceremony did not put an end to the family sports holiday. After all, the main thing is participation, laughter, excitement and friendship, which unite large teams of the Moscow Metro Construction.
