On Saturday morning, September 18, the final of the Spartakiad of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions (MFP) took place among the labor collectives of individual trade union organizations. The event took place at the Znamensky Brothers Olympic Center.
– Every participant who comes to the competition is already a winner, having overcome himself in the name of sport and camaraderie. Everyone won today. The losers stayed at home on the couch,” said Mikhail Antontsev, chairman of the IFP, at the opening of the event.

After the grand opening with the performance of little dancers, the athletes dispersed to different sectors of the stadium. Mosmetrostroy teams were represented in six sports: chess, table tennis, athletics, kettlebell lifting, darts and tug of war. The teams from Stroymekhservice and SMU-25 showed themselves the brightest. Stroymekhservice climbed to the podium, taking third place in kettlebell lifting, and SMU-25 twice took fourth place - in darts and tug-of-war.
The top eight participants included the teams of KSUM, which took 8th place in chess, SMU-25 and TO-6, which took 7th and 8th places in kettlebell lifting, UMM – 7th place in table tennis and Inzhproekt – 6th place in the track and field relay.

In general, our athletes performed much better than at the preliminary stage and improved their results, maintaining a positive attitude, courage, fortitude and bright smiles on their faces.
The participants performed in new sports uniforms, developed by the Terkom of the Mosmetrostroy trade union specifically for the 90th anniversary of the company.
We congratulate the participants and winners of the competition and wish them even more bright sporting achievements in the future.
