Before the New Year, young specialists from Mosmetrostroy came to visit the pupils of the Karabanovsky orphanage in the Vladimir region and spent the whole day with them. Sincere childish delight, joyful emotions and faith in miracles - this is how this day passed.
The reason for the visit was the traditional Moscow Metrostroy event “Christmas Tree of Wishes”. This year it was held for the fifth time and broke its own record: all the balloons with children’s wishes were taken apart within the first hours of their appearance. Some employees took several pieces.
The appearance of metro builders in Karabanovo aroused keen interest among children and teenagers. They surrounded the tree where the gifts were “hidden”. Everyone wanted to see their name on the package.
The management of the orphanage found out in advance what each of the 26 children wanted and handed the list to the chairman of the Council of Young Professionals, Galina Matsyuta. Therefore, the gifts brought by the Metrostroevsky Santa Clauses and Snow Maidens were not only useful, but also welcome. Toys, cars, construction sets, power banks. Kids and teenagers asked for different things, but everyone received a piece of their holiday miracle. Among the requests were not only toys, but also household items and warm clothes.
After the ceremony, the children took the guests on a tour of their home. They enthusiastically told and showed where they study, relax and how they spend their free time.
In November, the Karabanovsky orphanage celebrated its centenary. New beds and desks were installed for the significant date.
Sweet, smiling Sasha told the guests a poem. A week ago he learned the letter “r” and now it proudly rolls around the room in his every word. Mom and her new husband did not need a five-year-old boy. The baby slept in the bathtub and lived worse than their pet cat.
People end up in the Karabanovsky orphanage for various reasons: some parents were deprived of their rights, some were abandoned, some had no one else left, but the children did not become embittered. With an open heart and sparkling eyes, they share their hobbies and achievements with guests.
There is a stand with awards on the ground floor. Certificates and medals sparkle in the light of the lamps. Creative competitions, dance, sports competitions. Eighteen-year-old Artem has especially many awards. The young boxer does not miss his chances to win.
The teachers spoke with warmth and love about the children.
“Elvira recently had her hernia removed, now she can dance and play sports,” says director Valentina Evdokimenko.
Elvira smiles modestly. She is embarrassed to talk about her problems, but she is glad that now everything will be fine.
At the end of the day, the teachers showed the young specialists children's crafts and shared the secrets of interesting creative master classes.
Reluctantly, the metro builders said goodbye to the house and its inhabitants. But this is not the last meeting. They promised to come again.
