The departure of a group of 25 people took place early in the morning of October 15. Good weather and the wonderful mood of the entire team made it possible to quickly get to Tver.

The sightseeing tour began with a meeting with the guide and a tour of the historical center. The Assumption Church of the Otroch Monastery, the river station, monuments to Mikhail Tverskoy - the holy noble prince who lived in 1271-1318, the great writers Alexander Pushkin, Ivan Krylov, the traveler and writer Afanasy Nikitin - it was from these memorable places that one of the ancient Russian cities opened up in all its glory. The trade union activists did not waste a minute; the task was to explore the city as much as possible in two days. On the first day, they also managed to visit the Island of Memory with the Temple of Mikhail Tverskoy, the White Trinity Church of the 16th century, and even appreciate the unique three-beam system of the Tver center. Tourists also liked the souvenir shops, the Dom Bread bakery and confectionery, the Marmaladnaya Skazka store, and the local brewery, where they learned how “live” beer is brewed. In the evening, guests of the city were treated to a luxurious dinner with musical accompaniment.

— The organizer of the trip for veterans of trade union activists was the Terek Trade Union Committee, which celebrated its 90th anniversary this year. For us, this event was a real holiday, because many had not seen each other for many years. In addition to the live postcard, the veterans received trade union anniversary badges,” said Pavel Kalinin, deputy director of KSUM JSC and chairman of the Council of War and Labor Veterans.

On the second day, the group visited the Imperial Travel Palace. Starting from the 18th century, the Tver province was developed by architects of the first Russian architectural series. Various ensembles or individual buildings were erected according to public and private orders, and sometimes entire territories were landscaped. The Tver Imperial Palace is an outstanding monument of Russian architecture. Built for Empress Catherine II in 1763-1778, over more than two centuries of history it has repeatedly changed its appearance, reflecting the styles and tastes of the eras. The guests studied with interest the splendor of the ancient structure and the main milestones of its creation.

After lunch, the delegation went to the country's first pool-type sturgeon plant. For an hour and a half, they were told about the difficulties and features of fish breeding in artificially created reservoirs.

The two-day trip ended with a visit to an exhibition and sale of products by contemporary ceramicists. According to Lyubov Andreevna, chairman of the trade union organization Tunnel-2001 LLC, these were wonderful and eventful days.

— Lots of impressions. “Everything was clearly organized and thought out,” summed up the chairman of the trade union organization KSUM JSC, Valentina Kanishcheva. — The guide Natalya Aleksandrovna is simply lovely, she created all the conditions for active recreation for us. Thanks to the excursion participants! Very worthy people. It was a pleasure to meet with veterans of the trade union movement of Mosmetrostroy JSC. The trip was a success!
