On the evening of October 24, the final stage of the competition “Young Trade Union Leader of the City of Moscow - 2018” was held at the Mosmetrostroy Office. The assembly hall was full of colorful posters and flags with corporate symbols, and was buzzing with loud music, applause and energetic chants.
The annual competition is organized by the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions. This time his program consisted of a presentation speech, dubbing of videos, debates and a cheerleading competition. The jury included high-ranking members of various trade union organizations. The chairman of the panel of judges was the chief adviser to the presidential administration of the Russian Federation, Igor Budykin.
The competition brought together the most active and talented participants in the trade union movements of the capital. The contestants were selected based on the results of preliminary testing. Among the ten finalists, Mosmetrostroy was represented by the lawyer of the contract department of the Office, Alena Menshina (in the photo - far left) and the deputy head of the planning department TO-6 Tatyana Platonova (in the photo - third from the left).
Both company employees showed decent results: Tatyana took an honorable second place, Alena received an award in the “Public Recognition” nomination. Our support group also distinguished itself - the Metro fans were recognized as the best. Participants and winners of the competition were awarded memorable prizes and certificates.
– Such competitions are needed so that the trade union movement does not fade away. This is an exchange of experience and new acquaintances. All the participants were very worried, no one was confident in their abilities, but we became very friendly and supported each other,” Tatyana shared her impressions.
Alena already has experience in fighting for the title of leader. Last year she also represented the company at the competition, and now she is interested in new areas of trade union activity:
– Next year I do not plan to participate in this competition - I will give way to others. But I will try to take part in other trade union events. I do this because I like to leave my comfort zone and challenge myself.
