The first meeting of veterans of the Moscow metro construction in the coming year took place on January 30 at the Goodwin restaurant on Nakhimovsky Prospekt. Representatives of the company management, the Council of Veterans, the Council of Young Professionals and the Trade Union Tercom Committee came to greet the audience.

Joyful looks, smiles, warm greetings, veterans who missed each other and their family shared memories and news. About fifty metro construction workers gathered for the festive evening-meeting.

The first word after the traditional company anthem was spoken by the General Director of Mosmetrostroy JSC Sergei Zhukov. He spoke about production results, successes and changes in the organization for 2019. He shared his plans for the future. Deputy General Director Mikhail Arbuzov continued next, wishing the veterans their wishes come true.

Guests of Goodwin were treated to a festive program. The evening was hosted by Boris Prigoda, Chairman of the Council of War and Labor Veterans, and Alena Menshina, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Specialists of Mosmetrostroy JSC.

Honored Artist of Russia Svetlana Bochkova, as well as singer and composer Leonid Bolshin performed for the audience. The surprise was the performance of young vocalist Alina Ustinova, who performed the song “War Veterans, Labor Veterans.”

– We were very united. And now, of course, there is not enough live communication, he is drawn to his team,” shared KSUM veteran Nikolai Agapov, who worked for 46 years. The microphone passed from veteran to veteran. Each speech is a page in the chronicle of the construction of the Moscow metro. They remembered the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, the post-war years, friendship and help in the team, difficult moments during the construction of the metro, which were always successfully overcome.

At the end of the evening, those gathered were treated to fun quizzes dedicated to the history of metro construction and the New Year holidays. The winners were awarded prizes.
