On the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Mosmetrostroy held a number of events - they honored veterans, remembered departed heroes, and took part in the Immortal Regiment event.

Only 25 front-line soldiers and home front workers remained among the metro construction workers. Our veterans are real heroes who fought for our future, forged victory in the rear: they built the metro, stood at factory furnaces and machine tools, and grew grain in the fields. On the eve of the holiday, the management of Mosmetrostroy JSC traditionally congratulated veterans with food packages and material assistance.
On the Victory Day itself on May 9, the activists of Mosmetrostroy, led by the Chairman of the Council of War and Labor Veterans Boris Prigoda, took part in the Immortal Regiment action. The column started from the Administration building on Tsvetnoy Boulevard and joined the procession near the Pushkinskaya station at 15:00.

Under the slogans “Glory to the victorious people!” and “Glory to the four-time awarded Moscow Metro Construction!” Portraits of the heroic metro workers of the Great Patriotic War are proudly carried along Tverskaya Street and Red Square.
The company has been regularly participating in the event since 2017. This time, the Tyumen search team “Memory of the Heart” shared the solemn day with the metro construction workers. The young people were inspired by the rich history of the company and at the end of the day, some even asked what exams they need to pass in order to become subway builders in the future.
Later, on May 18, the Mosmetrostroy delegation, consisting of the Chairman of the Council of War and Labor Veterans Boris Prigoda and the Deputy Director of the KSUM Pavel Kalinin, laid flowers at the memorial obelisk dedicated to the Heroes of the Soviet Union - the legendary pilots of the Metrostroy flying club.
The monument was erected in 1971, 40 kilometers from Moscow, near the building of a secondary school in the village of Malye Vyazemy, Odintsovo district.

It is carved on a granite slab: “Here, in Malyye Vyazemy, in the pre-war years there was a Metrostroy flying club. In the five years preceding the start of the Great Patriotic War, the Metrostroy flying club trained hundreds of pilots and four thousand parachutists. From here, in the terrible year of 1941, many went to the front. For the valor and courage shown in the battles for the Motherland, thirty-six students of the Metrostroy Aero Club were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.”
