Mayday met online

Moscow trade unions responded with understanding to the decision of the capital authorities to organize festive events dedicated to International Workers' Day on May 1 online. The traditional May Day march through Red Square was canceled due to the epidemiological situation in the country and the world.

This year, May Day was held under the general slogan “For social stability and a decent life!” The Moscow Federation of Trade Unions on its Internet portal carried out a video broadcast called “Trade Union Roll Call,” to which not only Muscovites, but also representatives of work collectives from other regions joined.

At the same time, online conferences, live concerts, May Day quizzes, competitions, and master classes were broadcast. The United Trade Union Internet Action of the IFP was held on social networks under the common hashtag #MoscowTrade UnionPervomay, uniting the efforts of Moscow workers to stand in solidarity for social stability and a decent life.

The territorial committee of the Mosmetrostroy trade union also supported the action, the purpose of which was to unite the patriotic forces of society, firmly advocating the stability and development of the country without shocks and social explosions.

Participants of the action from the trade unions of the Mosmetrostroy group of companies gathered on May 1 and shared photographs of their small demonstrations taking place at their workplaces on social networks.
