Snow lay like a sparkling carpet on the construction sites. There is still a lot of work, but the New Year's mood is slowly creeping into the hearts of builders. Mothers choose what outfits to wear with their children to New Year's shows and performances, fathers bring home sweet gifts. Traditionally, the Mosmetrostroy trade union provides and conducts New Year's events.
The trade union committee takes care of metro builders and their families not only on New Year’s Eve. The trade union organizes useful leisure time for adults, their children, as well as veterans of the organization all year round, working according to an approved plan.
CARE OF CHILDREN
In April, friendly teams attacked knowledge with force at the “Start of Young Metro Builders.” The Union Tercom Committee also made its contribution to the organization of the event.
In May, the primary cells of the organization held a drawing competition for Workers' Solidarity Day. Children not only showed their creativity, but also learned more about the holiday and its history.
On June 3rd, summer shifts opened at the Young Metro Construction Center. Terkom employees compiled lists of children, ensured the issuance of vouchers, purchased sports equipment, stationery, board games for the needs of the camp, and worked to recruit children from other organizations in Moscow to the camp.
Chairman of the ROO-TPS Sergei Steshenko is a frequent guest at “Young Metro Builder”. This summer he held an action there called “Trade Union Day” and told the children about the activities of the trade union.
YOUTH AND VETERANS
Working with young people is an important and integral part of our activities. Many members of the Council of Young Specialists of Mosmetrostroy are at the same time active members of the trade union. They annually participate in events held by the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions, defend the honor of the company at tourist rallies, “Young Trade Union Leader” competitions and others. In addition, young people are involved in charity work, helping children from sponsored orphanages.
They receive care, and the metro construction workers get a well-deserved rest. On the eve of Victory Day, the Council of War and Labor Veterans and trade union organizations visit veterans of the Great Patriotic War, prisoners of concentration camps and home front workers, presenting them with gifts and flowers. On the occasion of Elderly Person's Day, honored workers are also not left without attention. They are paid one-time benefits, and meetings of veterans over a cup of tea are organized.
HELP FOR FIGHTERS
At the beginning of the year, Moscow Metrostroy, with the participation of the trade union, held the “One Day for the Front” campaign, in which company employees transferred funds to the trade union’s bank account to help fighters on the front line. To provide targeted assistance, employees of the Trade Union Terkom came into direct contact with the command of a number of military units located on the contact line and found out their needs. With the funds collected, quadcopters, night vision sights, body armor, and other materials and equipment were purchased and sent to the Northern Military District soldiers. The military clinical hospital, whose units are on the first line and are the first to receive the wounded, did not stand aside. And most importantly, a lot of work was done to provide targeted assistance to the mobilized employees of Mosmetrostroy JSC.
ACTIVE AND SPORTY
The trade union traditionally leads sports work. Metro construction workers compete in cross-country skiing, table tennis, darts, weightlifting, bullet shooting, chess, and swimming. The result of these competitions was the IV Spartakiad of Mosmetrostroy workers organized by the trade union in Balabanovo, in which more than 500 people took part.
Thanks to the coordinated work of Mosmetrostroy and the trade union, our sports teams not only take part in all industry and city competitions, but always or almost always take prizes. Volleyball and futsal teams have consistently good results. The basketball team created this year with the support of the union also showed good results.
NEW HORIZONS
This year, as before, the trade union organized tourist trips to other cities and countries. Mosmetrostroy workers visited Uzbekistan, Dagestan, Kazan, Astrakhan, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Rzhev, Kostroma, etc. And 152 trade union members with their families went to health resorts, boarding houses and sanatoriums on the Black Sea coast, Mineralnye Vody and Sochi on trade union vouchers. At the same time, Terkom paid for 35% of the cost of the trip, the remaining 65% was paid by the trade union committees of the primary trade union organizations.
And this is not all that the union does. Occupational safety, personnel training, legal and financial assistance to workers - this is also within the scope of activity of the Territorial Trade Union of Moscow Metrostroy Workers.
