We celebrated May Day

“For a fair economy in the interests of working people!” – under this slogan, a demonstration of the capital’s trade unions took place on May 1. Employees of Mosmetrostroy also took part in the festive procession along Red Square as part of the Moscow Construction Complex.

The gathering of participants took place on Moskvoretskaya embankment under the soaring bridge of Zaryadye Park. Traditionally, large orange balloons with the company’s symbols served as a guide for metro construction workers. The column of almost 350 people was headed by the chairman of the Terkom of the Mosmetrostroy trade union, Sergei Steshenko.

– Together we are one! The May Day demonstration for the working people is a way to show that we can do a lot by coming together! – the trade union leader addressed those present.

Representatives of trade unions, the Council of Veterans and the Council of Young Professionals of the company with banners, flags and songs to the accompaniment of an accordion walked from St. Basil's Cathedral through Red Square to the Historical Museum.

Also at the demonstration were engineers, teachers, doctors, scientists, office workers, workers in industry, transport, social services, culture, energy and communications, housing and communal services, students and veterans.
