The General Director met with young specialists

On Monday, February 13, the Council of Young Specialists (YS) had a conversation with the General Director of JSC Mosmetrostroy Sergei Zhukov. Young people from Moscow Metrostroy and its subsidiaries gathered in the management assembly hall on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the territorial trade union of Mosmetrostroy workers Sergei Steshenko and Deputy Director for Human Resources and Corporate Relations Oksana Menshina.

This format of dialogue between management and young employees is taking place for the seventh time since the founding of the council in 2015.

The meeting began with an opening speech by Sergei Anatolyevich. He spoke about the company's main achievements over the past year, development prospects, reported on financial indicators, named priority tasks and congratulated those gathered on the acquisition of a new professional holiday - Metro Builder's Day, which is now celebrated on Metrostroy's birthday on October 2.

Sergei Zhukov promised that the company will do everything possible to make this wonderful date not only another source of pride for employees, but also a day off.

He also noted that last summer the city became a 100% shareholder of Moscow Metrostroy.

– Previously, the city authorities owned 51% of the shares, the rest was owned by VTB. Now the bank has withdrawn from the shareholders and now we, as it was in Soviet times, are a completely state-owned company with all the advantages and responsibilities that follow from this,” explained Sergei Zhukov.

Chairman of the SMC Galina Matsyuta spoke about the achievements and significant events of the council in the past year. One of the most memorable was the Stroyslet of young specialists of the Stroykompleks, where the teams celebrated the bright and stylish outfits of young metro construction workers and the first youth tourist rally for representatives of affiliated organizations of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions. There, the guys from SMS received the audience award in the creative category. She also mentioned a professional skills competition, in which young professionals consistently take prizes, and numerous charity trips to orphanages throughout the year.

The meeting ended in an open microphone format. The young people personally, and some who were shy, anonymously, asked questions that concerned them to the General Director, and then to First Deputy Mikhail Arbuzov, who replaced him at the microphone. Traditionally, those gathered were interested in financial topics and promising construction projects in Moscow and beyond. Mikhail Yuryevich answered everything with undisguised optimism.

“The main thing is not to lose heart, play sports and go to work as if it were a holiday,” he concluded.
