How the "Elektrozavodskaya" bkl was built

On New Year's Eve, the grand opening of the new station of the Big Circle Line - "Elektrozavodskaya" took place. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin arrived to start the train movement on December 31. He thanked the builders for their work, which resulted in a holiday gift to Muscovites in the form of a new station.

The first passengers delightedly descended the steps of the gallery onto the Elektrozavodskaya platform, where a surprise awaited them in the form of a huge historical panel on the track wall. The composition, made on glass using multicolor printing technique, is striking in its scale - 163 meters - this is the length of the entire composition.

To view all the heroic defenders of Ancient Russia, you need to walk along the platform from the first to the last carriage. You can go back through the gallery, which is decorated with banners telling about the stages of construction of Elektrozavodskaya.

The general contractor for the construction was Tunnel Squad No. 6. Development of the site began at the beginning of 2016.

“The main difficulty at the first stage of construction was the removal of communications,” recalls Konstantin Sysoev, deputy chief engineer of TO-6. - The area has been inhabited for a long time. The construction site found itself in cramped conditions, in a triangle between the Moscow Kazan Railway, one of the oldest operating metro lines - Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya (APL) and the embankment of the Yauza River.

The relaying of communications was carried out by SMU-25 employees. Despite all the difficulties, the removal and reconnection of communications went without problems, SMU-25 completed it even ahead of schedule. Stroymekhservice carried out the drilling of the pit and development of the soil in difficult hydrogeological conditions. The walls of the pit were secured by TO-6 builders. They also carried out all the tunneling and monolithic work. Tunnel-boring shields from the Lefortovo station towards the Sokolniki BCL passed Elektrozavodskaya in transit, leaving the pilot tunnels.

Subsequently, SMU-1 was brought in to build the lobby. Engineering work at the station was carried out by SMU-24 specialists. Architectural and finishing work was carried out by the USR together with TO-6. The columns are lined with polished garnet amphibolite slabs. The floor is paved with polished gabbro-diabase slabs, the stairs are made of light gray granite.

Before the opening, Tunnel 2001 employees cleaned up the area around the station. The area was landscaped, paths were paved, tiles and border stones were laid, trees were planted and lawns were laid out where the temperature allowed. Benches and trash cans were installed.

In total, about a thousand people worked at the facility throughout the entire period. The bulk of TO-6 employees left Elektrozavodskaya. But the work here is not yet completed. Construction of a transport hub is underway. For now, passengers need to walk about 200 meters along the street to transfer to the nuclear submarine.

– The connection to the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line will be difficult to implement. During excavation, special methods of soil consolidation are used,” shared Konstantin Sysoev. – Also on Semenovskaya embankment there remains a headquarters and a construction site in a truncated form. The laying of the upper structure of the route of the distillation tunnels to the Sokolniki station of the BKL and the construction of near-tunnel structures continues, work is underway on finishing the underground parking for 64 cars, which is located above the Elektrozavodskaya station. In the future, there will be a transport hub and a new pedestrian bridge across the Yauza.

BTW

Until the completion of the Bolshoy Koltsevaya construction, the new Elektrozavodskaya station will operate as part of the Nekrasovskaya Line. Its opening improved transport services for 200 thousand residents of the Basmanny and Sokolinaya Gora districts.
