Metrotranskomplekt is 15 years old

The LLC Metrotranskomplekt (MTK) company appeared on March 3, 2005 as a result of the transformation of one of the oldest divisions of Mosmetrostroy - Mosmetrotranskomplekt. The MTK team celebrated its anniversary in everyday work. We tell you how the company lives now.

Almost all components for the construction of metro stations and stages are delivered to construction sites from MTC warehouses. The company has large territories, the main warehouses are located in the Metrogorodok area on Otkrytoye Highway.

– We can say that we are a unique organization. We remain the only warehouse complex within the capital with its own railway connection. Cars with products come to us from the Cherkizovskaya station of the Moscow Railway,” noted the company’s general director Alexander Astafiev.

The territory has its own switch post, after which the railway diverges into five tracks with a total length of about two kilometers. For unloading there are four gantry cranes and one overhead crane.

Cargoes are brought from all over the country and the CIS. They are unloaded, sorted, kept records, and sent to customers upon request. Among them is our TSK, which stores in warehouses tubings of various configurations, rails, cable products, fittings, hardware, bentonite and even drinking water. In general, everything that is not shipped from wheels to construction sites.

– We have nine hectares here. There are open warehouse areas where we store large components, such as rails, tubings, and cable products. There are also closed warehouses: warm and cold. All of them are framed by railway tracks,” said the head of the site, Boris Ovcharenko. He has been working at MTK since the mid-nineties and is responsible for all production affairs of the company. Under his command are mechanics, crane operators, slingers, train compilers, and warehouse managers.

In general, the MTK team currently numbers about seventy people. The main backbone is metro construction workers with extensive experience, who came here even before the reorganization of Mosmetrotranskomplekt, the main supply division of Metrostroy until 2005.

Later, for more efficient work, the functions of Mosmetrotranskomplekt were divided into areas of activity: supply and household services were given to TSK, transport services were given to Transkom (dump truck fleet), concrete delivery and the operation of concrete pumps were given to Metrotransbeton. Warehouse activities and cargo handling remained with MTK.

– MTC inherited all the areas of Metrosnab, and others were added, including the “Young Metro Builder” children’s camp. In addition to cargo handling, the second main task was the efficient use of Mosmetrostroy real estate. This includes leasing out facilities and filling space with products arriving by rail and road transport,” explained MTK Financial Director Alexander Milovanov.

By the way, behind the fences of the site on the Open Highway, construction of new residential areas is actively underway. The houses are already close to the warehouses. The relocation of MTK became a matter of time. Fortunately there is somewhere. The company has several more of its own territories under management.

But MTK employees have no time to be discouraged. There is enough work, the volumes in all areas are large. Since 2005, the company has been steadily increasing profits.
