The updated Filyovskaya line will accept passengers in 2018

The western lobby of the Bagrationovskaya station of the Filyovskaya line is 40 percent ready. A Metrostroevets (MS) correspondent found out what work is being done on the platforms and in the vestibules.

Reconstruction of the Filevskaya line continues - the largest in its history. The stations and lines served Muscovites for almost 60 years - during this time many structures and systems fell into disrepair.

The standards of the last century are outdated. Today, platforms at stations are being expanded and supporting structures are being changed. The lobbies are equipped with elevators and new turnstiles, as well as an intelligent video surveillance system. This is necessary so that the Filevskaya line not only acquires a modern look, but also becomes more convenient for passengers of the capital’s metro. One of the stations included in the reconstruction program is Bagrationovskaya. During the first stage of work, half of the complex is still closed to Muscovites - the entire western lobby and part of the platform. They were dismantled to be rebuilt. Now there is a small pit with a nascent platform. The walls of the future office premises of Bagrationovskaya are gradually growing from reinforcement and concrete. All that was left of the canopies hiding the station from the snow were lonely white pillars.

“We completely dismantled the old lobby, removed all the dilapidated structures from 60 years ago,” explains the head of the complex, Alexey Arbuzov. – We are building the station from scratch, everything will be new, modern and reliable.

The SMU-9 team works at Bagrationovskaya: 50 people work here every shift. Builders descend into the pit of the western lobby along a metal staircase. Then they walk along wooden bridges along the paths to the base of the platform. A surveyor is already standing there, measuring new structures using an electronic tachometer. The noise of welding machines, drills and hammers is constantly joined by the rattling of a subway train. Here a miniature “bobcat” runs around the pit - filling the hole with earth.

“We are working in accordance with the approved schedule, we plan to commission the western lobby of Bagrationovskaya in this half of the year,” added Arbuzov. – Passengers will see the Eastern line next fall.

HELP

Filyovskaya line is one of the oldest in the capital’s metro, operating since 1958. Most of it is laid on the ground. The line stretches from “Alexandrovsky Garden” to “Kuntsevskaya” and is 12.1 kilometers. Another 2.8 kilometers is the length of the branch to Mezhdunarodnaya. The total length of the land sections is about eight kilometers. The platforms of the above-ground stations of the Filyovskaya line are shorter than the usual stations of the Moscow metro. Therefore, trains longer than six cars have never been operated here.

Today Rusich cars run on this line.
