At the construction site on 4th Maryina Roshcha Street, at the beginning of April, SMU-24 specialists carried out a complex operation to deliver metal trusses to the installation site of a small inclined track. It will connect the new “Maryina Roshcha” on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya with the existing station of the same name on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. Our photographer Alexander Popov captured the rigging process. Let's share the brightest moments. And using the QR code below you can see the details in video format.
The installation was carried out at the construction site of the ventilation shaft on the stretch between the Maryina Roshcha and Rizhskaya stations. Similar operations were carried out before, but on a smaller scale: only part of the elements were delivered underground.
Sections of the escalator were lowered vertically down into a narrow shaft to a depth of 65 meters using a crane. The weight of each section varies from a ton to five.
The structure consists of zone E, drive, zone V and bending zone.
The sections were placed on a special transport cart and delivered along rails to the Maryina Roshcha station.
The distance was about a kilometer.
From the ferry tunnel, the farms were directed to the central station hall. Metro builders were also helped here by a special system of hoists and transportation mechanisms.
Next, the parts were sent along the human walkway, where steps would appear very soon. The sections were lifted up using a winch. In total, two hoists, four hoists, two winches and one hand hoist were used.
And here is the destination. The installation process is in full swing, after which the escalator steps will be delivered to the station.
The length of the inclined course will be 30 meters.
The work was complicated by the fact that each of the 32 elements had a displaced center of gravity. I had to get used to this. If the first section took 4 hours, then the last section already took a little over an hour. In total, the rigging lasted 8 working days, starting on April 6.
