On the afternoon of June 10, at site No. 26, the ceremonial opening of the Herrenknecht S-772 tunnel boring complex took place. A shield with the name “Tatyana” connected “Aviamotornaya” with “Nizhegorodskaya” on the right side.
The TBM started on October 15 from the assembly chamber at site No. 25.3. The shield traveled 1357 meters, encountering water-saturated soils, sands, and destroyed limestones on its way. The depth of the finished tunnel ranged from 22 to 36 meters.
– The shield passed under the railway tracks of the Kazan direction of the Moscow Railway, the Dangauer overpass and over the existing Aviamotornaya station of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line. Shortly before the Novaya platform, they made a technological stop: they checked the condition of the TBM before the triple intersection, said Vladimir Chudnetsov, deputy chief engineer of SMU-1.
The check showed that Tatyana was fully operational. Without subsidence or movement, she overcame a difficult section of the path - only 300 meters. For the safety of ground structures during the movement of the shield on the overpass, the supports were reinforced with beams in advance.
The excavation was carried out by SMU-1 employees under the leadership of the head of section No. 1 Ilya Zvyagin and the supervision of deputy chief engineer Evgeniy Mamonov. Now the team is completely moving to Stromynka, where they will start working on the construction of a section from Stromynka to Rzhevskaya.
In a month, the left running tunnel to Aviamotornaya, which is being built by the Herrenknecht S-290 Valeria tunneling complex, will be ready. In the future, on the site of the dismantling chamber, technical premises for utilities of the Big Circle Line station will be located.
