The best engineers have been named
The results have been summed up and the winners in the competition “Engineer of the Year of the Tunnel Association of Russia – 2019” have been determined. The ceremony took place on February 27 in the building of the Mosmetrostroy Administration on Tsvetnoy Boulevard.
The ceremony was preceded by a meeting of the expert council. At the round table they discussed the topic of the latest innovative solutions in the construction of the Moscow metro. The discussion was about geotechnical monitoring, a digital method for solving problems of varying complexity, the installation of an installation panel chamber in a round pit without spacer fastening, as well as the reconstruction of two tunnels in Russian regions.
JSC Mosmetrostroy was presented by Deputy General Director Mikhail Belenky with a report on the modernization of the Vladivostok tunnel. This project was recognized as the best, and the corresponding decision was announced at the end of the year by the World Tunnel Association in Miami (USA).
Among the laureates of the Vlasov competition for the title “Engineer of the Year of the Tunnel Association of Russia - 2019” this year are three specialists from Mosmetrostroy JSC. They became the best in the category “Engineer of the Year in the field of subway construction in the Russian Federation.”
Among them are the head and specialists of the quality department of Mosmetrostroy JSC: Artem Garras, Dmitry Romanov, Yuri Filatov. The laureates received diplomas from the Russian Tunnel Association.
The main goal of the Vlasov competition is to encourage and popularize the engineering work of specialists from scientific, design and construction organizations involved in the field of metro and tunnel construction.
Specialists from organizations that are members of the Russian Tunnel Association took part in the selection, and their work results over the past year were taken into account.
The competition has been held since 2011. It is dedicated to Sergei Vlasov, the engineer who stood at the origins of the Russian Tunnel Association.
