In 2004, the Inzhproekt design bureau was founded. Over time, PKB grew into an independent design institute. This fall the company celebrates its 15th anniversary. The general director of the organization, Vladimir Belyakov, told how to broaden the horizons of specialists and what awaits the company in the future.
How did the history of Institute Inzhproekt LLC begin?
– Once the company was divided into a design bureau and an institute that dealt only with estimates. Five years ago we reorganized everything. Now Institute Inzhproekt LLC operates, where the full scope of designers is located, and the PKB no longer exists.
When the PKB first appeared, it was engaged in civil engineering. What were his first projects?
– We performed a small amount of contract work during the construction of the Vnukovo-1 air terminal complex. We developed the design section for a large multifunctional complex on Ozerkovskaya embankment.
In 2009, the organization became part of Mosmetrostroy. How did the change in direction to work with metro facilities affect the company?
– This had a positive impact on its growth. The staff has increased several times. Today we have 135 employees. Our main structural divisions: architectural and design departments, GIP and POS departments, sewerage and water supply, ventilation and heating departments, communications department, low-current systems and automation, electrical engineering department, estimate and contractual-analytical departments.
Who are among your partners now?
– Our traditional main partners are Mosinzhproekt, Metrogiprotrans, Moscow Metro, Mossporttekh, Giprotyazhmash, TsPPK, as well as MDM.
What distinguishes Inzhproekt from competitors?
– Our activities are diversified in all directions. We design not only metro facilities and all kinds of transport facilities. We also engage in civil construction: preschool institutions, schools, residential buildings, public buildings.
Why was this strategy chosen?
– Firstly, because getting a job in one narrow area is difficult due to the large number of competitors. Secondly, so that our specialists have a working mental outlook. When different areas of design collide, thought moves on, intersects and develops. The process becomes alive.
Is it difficult to master areas that you have not dealt with before?
– Of course, but on the other hand, it is very interesting. In some areas, we involve additional third-party specialists for this purpose. For others, we study the experience of predecessors, including foreign ones, analyze and understand on our own.
Which projects are the company most proud of?
– Among the most notable, perhaps, is the cable car on Vorobyovy Gory - the first in Moscow of this level. It is also a logistics complex for the military "Nara" in Naro-Fominsk. It was the first of 24 planned complexes of this kind in Russia. In addition, the reconstruction of seven stations of the Filevskaya Line of the Moscow Metro, carried out practically without stopping the movement of trains with passengers.
What do you think is more difficult for an institute: reconstruction of facilities or design from scratch?
– Building a new one is many times easier than reconstructing an old one. Especially when it comes to the metro.
What are your plans for the future, in what direction are you going to develop?
– I would like to participate in the further design of new metro lines in Moscow and, possibly, in other cities. And also carry out reconstructions, which few people do at all. We are also waiting for orders from the military. We are ready to work with them, especially since we have experience.
