The inclined passage of the transfer at "Aviamotornaya" has been completed

At the "Aviamotornaya" station of the Big Circle Metro Line (BKL), the development of a calotte for the tension chamber is underway when constructing a transfer between two existing lines. The MS correspondent found out how much work the builders will have to do when connecting the stations of the Big Ring and the Kalininskaya Line.

At the beginning of August, SMU-1 specialists installed the last 142nd ring of the inclined transfer between the two Aviamotor. Currently, work has begun on the construction of the arch of the tension chamber with a diameter of 11.5 meters through the constructed inclined passage.

As the acting head of the SMU-1 site, Alexey Grigoriev, said, the builders are preparing to install the semi-rings.

“The tunneling work is carried out in two faces: from the inclined passage we enter the tension chamber, and from the transfer side we begin the installation of the rings of the approach corridor with a diameter of 9.5 meters at the transfer between two metro lines,” he explained.

Underground work at the transfer is complicated by the excavation process. When constructing the approach corridor, the rock is discharged through vertical shaft No. 607, which we inherited from Soviet times. Its depth is 60 meters. The rock is delivered in trolleys using a truck crane.

According to Grigoriev, this solution is temporary. Currently, construction of a mining complex is underway, which will further simplify and speed up the work of pumping soil through the shaft. The transfer itself between the two Aviamotornayas is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2021.

The first stage of creating a pedestrian crossing to Aviamotornaya of the Big Ring has also been completed. 28 rings out of 73 have been completed and installed. Preparations for the next stage are underway.

SMU-12 are constructing a wall through which the solution will be injected to consolidate the soil. Upon completion of this type of work, SMU-1 will continue excavation. According to the schedule, this will happen in February next year.
