Tunnel-2001 completed monolithic work on the second underground transfer between the Kakhovskaya stations of the BKL and the Sevastopolskaya stations of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line.
As the head of section No. 5 of Tunnel-2001, Anatoly Partolin, said, the waterproofing contour and backfilling of the sinuses are 100% completed, and the pit is being actively backfilled with sand. In turn, workers from section No. 1 Tunnel-2001 and USR began finishing the internal structures. In addition, the improvement of site No. 17.1 has begun and is being carried out at a rapid pace.

The construction of an underground passage between Kakhovskaya and Sevastopolskaya, in addition to the existing one, is due to increased passenger traffic after the launch of the BCL. The peculiarity of the object is that construction is carried out in the mode of the existing metro. According to the deputy head of section No. 5 Tunnel-2001 Dmitry Matveev, special attention was paid to flood waters and precipitation.

To prevent flood waters from entering the pit, a 300 mm high enclosing structure was constructed. Protection from precipitation was provided by a technological shelter, which provided a dry surface for construction and installation work.
