The station began installing elements of future decor ordered especially for it
Site No. 6 is beginning to look more and more like the future station of the Big Circle Line. Work is still underway in the open pit, which is completely concreted. Gradually, starting from the lower tiers, the spacer fastening is dismantled. The outer contour of the structure is waterproofed. At the same time, brick walls of the sub-platform premises are being erected.

Blue metal formwork - the basis for future lighting of the station
Despite the absence of a ceiling, the outlines of the future hall of the columned station can already be guessed. The track walls and the slope of the stairs leading to the exit are visible. And most importantly, special elements have appeared that will become part of the decor.
Pointing to the massive blue rings of the formwork, the head of section No. 7 TO-6 Viktor Karavaev explains:
– During my work, such a constructive solution is used for the first time. Large panoramic openings will appear here soon. Round formwork, specially ordered for the Rubtsovskaya project, has already been installed. It is inserted into the walls, tied with reinforcement and concreted.
Unusual openings with a diameter of 2.9 meters will be located on both sides of the platform walls above the columns. At a height of seven meters, the future ceiling of the station will gradually appear, and four meters higher - the final covering. In the interval between them, technological premises for Moscow Metro services will be equipped.
The design of “Rubtsovskaya” will echo the appearance of “Elektrozavodskaya”, forming a single architectural image. According to the project, lamps will be installed in the round openings located above the columns of the station hall
Monolithic structures have been built here since August last year. About 300 people work around the clock. The work is supervised by Tunnel Squad No. 6 (TO-6), contracted by SMU-9, SMS, SMU-24 and SMU-25.
In the station complex, the main work is divided between two sections of TO-6 - the seventh under the leadership of Viktor Karavaev and the eighth led by Alexey Gorelov.
– We were transferred here a month ago from site 5.2, where the main monolithic work was completed. The volumes here are large; we were given an area at the end of the station complex from the first to the sixth axis. It's about fifty meters. We will carry out monolithic and waterproofing work,” Gorelov shared his plans.
Currently, section No. 8 TO-6 together with SMU-25, whose trailers are located near the sixth site, are engaged in relaying rain, gravity, pressure sewerage and other communications.
The station complex is adjacent to a pit being developed by SMS. It will have an exit from the Rubtsovskaya station and a transition to Elektrozavodskaya of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. As the soil is excavated, the pit is secured with a spacer system.
By the end of the year, all work on the monolith will be completed. Finishers will take over the baton.
