Workers of the SMU-6 section under the leadership of Sergei Sleptsov began construction of the "Rzhevskaya" station in January last year. Then the remaining containers of the radio market were still being removed from there, and the metro construction workers were already erecting a monolithic grillage for mechanized excavation of the mine shaft.
When SMU-8 specialists, using the VSM-10000 complex, solved their problem, reaching a depth of 46 meters, the shaft was handed over to Sergei Sleptsov’s site for reinforcement. In addition to the general strengthening of the structure that had sunk into the earth, the mechanics installed guides there for both cargo lifting and lowering and for the passenger elevator.
The start of direct tunneling work on the lower horizon was preceded by cutting into the reinforced concrete lining of the shaft, for which they used a rope diamond tool.
“The cutting was not easy,” says Sleptsov. – after all, monolithic blocks of starting rings have additional steel lining. We managed to cope with it, although the total length of the cuts made was 230 meters. We develop the rock layers that have opened behind the lining using a mini-excavator BROCK-420. Here we have strong limestone with layers of marl and carbon.
First of all, the miners built an auxiliary adit. It has a trapezoidal cross-section, and the fastening consists of metal arches, behind which boards are placed. Before the New Year, the excavation was completed there and the face of the face was secured with boards. From the beginning of January, the second tie-in was completed and the construction of the mine yard began, through which the site will make its way to the transfer corridor, and from it there will be an underground path to both “Rizhskaya” and “Rzhevskaya” - its designers placed it at a depth of 63.5 meters.
The mine yard is being built using the same BROCK, which copes with the development of rock along a semicircular section of the mine. The personnel foreman of the tunnelers, Nikolai Grafonov, is satisfied with the mechanical assistant:
– It replaces manual labor well, shovels are almost not required. BROCK is managed by our own tunnelers.
By February 9, 14 tubing lining rings out of 20 designed were installed in the mining yard. When the teams have dealt with the remaining ones, excavation of the curved approach adit will begin.
