Ahead of schedule

"MMC International" on October 17 completed a set of works on the construction of permanent reinforced concrete lining of the tunnels of the first and second tracks at the facility: "Bypassing the Shkotovo - Smolyaninovo section of the Far Eastern Railway."

Construction of the permanent lining began in June 2022. Due to the short construction time, the lining was erected in parallel with the tunneling. Three self-propelled mechanized formworks were used, leaving behind 100 linear meters of finished reinforced concrete structures per month. This made it possible to complete the construction of 2,870 meters of lining, not counting the breaks and tunnel structures, in record time and significantly ahead of the construction schedule.

At the final stage - the construction of the superstructure of the track in the tunnels, the installation of engineering and security systems, as well as approaches to the tunnels, buildings and structures at the sites of engineering and technical security equipment (ITSO) of the Eastern and Western portals. The opening of operational train traffic is scheduled for December 2024.

The quality of the work performed and the level of production culture were highly appreciated by the head of the Far Eastern Railway, Evgeniy Veide, who visited the site.
